Microneedling and Facial Rejuvenation
Microneedling and Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture can be done is conjunction with your acupuncture treatments or as a stand alone treatment, however it is considered cosmetic and not covered by insurance.
A safe, effective, and non-surgical approach to healthy skin.
Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive technique that uses thin needles, typically 12 micro tips, to create microchannels in the skin. The “wounds” created help stimulate the skin’s own healing process by producing more collagen and elastin to the areas treated.
Cellular turnover is also enhanced and the end result is firm, smoother skin, more even skin tone, and the reduction of scars, pore size, wrinkles and stretch marks. In addition to the shifts in appearance, the open channels allow for an increase of up to 2000% of products placed on the skin.

Benefits of Microneedling
Comparison of Facial Acupuncture vs. Microneedling
-
Primary Philosophy : Treats the skin as a reflection of internal health and organ balance.
Mechanism: Strategic needle placement (40–70 needles) to balance Qi, move blood, and tone facial muscles
Target Depth Deeper: Reaches the dermis, fascia, and underlying facial muscles.
Best For: Lifting sagging skin, toning facial muscles, puffiness, and overall vitality/glow.
Results Timeline Gradual: Results are cumulative and often require 10–12 sessions to see full effects.
Recovery / Downtime : None. You can return to daily activities immediately; zero downtime.
Side Effects: Rare, but may include minor localized bruising at needle sites.
Holistic Benefits: Includes body points to address sleep, digestion, stress, and hormonal balance.
Treatment Frequency: Often 1–2 times per week for an initial course, then monthly maintenance.
-
Primary Philosophy: Dermatological/External: Focuses specifically on the skin’s surface and dermal structure.
Mechanism: Rapid, mechanized micro-punctures (hundreds per second) to trigger a controlled wound-healing response.
Target Depth: Shallower to Mid-level: Primarily targets the epidermis and papillary dermis.
Best For: Acne scars, deep texture issues, hyperpigmentation, and fine lines.
Results Timeline: Faster: Visible improvements in texture and tone are often seen after 1–3 sessions.
Recovery / Timeline: 24–48 Hours: Skin appears pink or red (like a mild sunburn) and may feel dry or tight.
Side Effects: Redness, swelling, mild peeling, and temporary photosensitivity.
Holistic Benefits: Limited to the treated area (face/neck); primarily localized skin benefits.
Treatment Frequency: Once every 4–6 weeks to allow the skin's collagen cycle to complete.
